The moment that we’ve - ok mostly just myself - all been waiting for is finally here. The time has come for me to partner with Lyric Arts once again in announcing the cast of their upcoming production of Evita. Last year, Lyric Arts made the brave and bold decision to produce Andrew Lloyd Webber’s iconic and Tony award winning show. It immediately went to the top of every list I had including top shows I was excited for in 2018-2019 season. Evita has always been one of my absolute favorite shows. I even wrote a fifteen page research paper on it in college.

Set between 1934 and 1952, the Tony Award winner for Best Musical follows Eva Duarte on her journey from poor illegitimate child to ambitious actress to the most powerful woman in Latin America, before her death from cancer at age 33.

Now celebrating its 40th anniversary, this musical masterpiece by Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber is filled with well-known numbers such as “Oh What a Circus,” “Buenos Aires,” and “Don’t Cry for Me Argentina.”
